New Doors Education Program is a College Prep Home Education study center.
Our instructors are qualified professionals who have a passion for teaching. We are blessed with instructors who are currently (or have finished) home educating their children. Instructors want to assist families in meeting their educational goals.
Several of our instructors and parents of current students have graduated students from their home education experience and have seen them successfully navigate college. We are happy to share our experiences and to assist your family with preparing for college admissions. If you have a question about college preparation and admissions, there is probably a person in our New Doors family who can help you.
Classes at New Doors may all be taken a la carte – college style. Classes meet once or twice per week for instruction and students have assignments to work on during the week between class meeting times. Our graduates tell us that this independent work –with classroom driven deadlines- has helped them be prepared to work effectively at their colleges and universities.
Parents need to be involved in the students’ work during the week. Many classes have homework forms to be completed by parents to assess the students’ efforts and time management. While parents do not need to grade upper level assignments, the parents are invaluable in supervising students’ efforts.
